2276 E.F.I. Intercooled Turbo
This engine was built to take some punishment.  It is based on a factory AS41 engine case.  The case has been clearanced for an 82mm 4340 forged crankshaft (original is 69mm), bored to 94mm (original is 80.5), modified for full flow oiling and fitted with 8mm case savers for the chromoly head studs.  It is fitted with forged  94mm pistons and barrels with custom barrell spacers and custom copper head gaskets. The cylinder heads underwent extensive port work and combustion chamber reshaping. The oiling system is a 2 stage dry sump system fed by a 10 quart oil tank.  Every piece of the intake was engineered and hand fabricated in house and the same goes for the exhaust system.  The crankcase pressure is handled by a breather system also engineerd and fabricated in house. Just about every part had to be design and fabricated by hand for this project.  Unfortunately, we lost alot of pics of this one due to a memory card malfunction.   I drive this car as much as I can.  Good weather or bad, it is ultra reliable and will always put a smile on your face.  Alot of time went into creating this setup...it is the only one of its kind...and that is what makes it all worth it.

This was a simple 2.0L 16 valve engine  built for forced induction.   This one is based off of a stock VW 9A block bored to accept the forged aluminum pistons.  The stock rods, although rather strong to begin with, were swapped for a set of  4340 forged H beam rods to withstand the elevated stress levels of forced induction.   The cylinder head has had extensive port work to clean up the poor casting and equalize  the runners.  The combustion chambers recieved a polish and were all made to be within 1 cc of each other.  Unfortunately, again, the head pics suffered the same fate as the above.  The engine is currently running on Digi 2 fuel injection as we decide on which type of forced induction will be used.  Check back soon to see the progress!

VW 1.8L 16v Cylinder Head
The intake ports started out rough casted .
This is a VW 16V  1.8l cylinder head that was in for a clean up and a fresh valve
Job, titanium retainers and new valve springs. This head is mating with an ABA
bottom end and will be boosted.
